In Surge of Memories, Wolf and Zev head to Jiangshi Metro to restore Haven’s communications. Mu Ying explains that only a Golden Age quantum tuner can bring the network back online and asks Wolf to sneak into the data center on the outskirts of Jiangshi to search for it . After meeting up with Ayuela, you fight through Fallen and access terminals for clues . One terminal contains a mini‑game where you rotate prisms to let light pass; Ayuela recognizes it as something she played with her mother .
As you search, Zev notes that most logs date back fourteen years . The team uncovers holograms showing Radegast’s Lightbearers fighting Fallen in the data center and then retreating , prompting Ayuela to reveal that her mother Alechio was among the data archaeologists and never came home . When Wolf cracks the final firewall, a recorded message from Alechio apologizes for leaving and explains that she sacrificed herself to protect the quantum tuner and preserve hope for humanity . Ayuela grapples with her mother’s choice but ultimately acknowledges Alechio’s heroism .
The mission concludes when Wolf brings the encrypted data back to Mu Ying; he promises to have the guerrillas decrypt it to locate the quantum tuner . This sets up the next story chapter, “Former Glories,” and deepens the lore around Ayuela and Alechio.
