The Jiangshi Anomalies mission kicks off after Hero’s Trial I, when Mu Ying notices that several defensive barriers around Jiangshi Metro have been destroyed by unknown forces . He shows Wolf and Zev scorch marks that look like Arc energy  and asks them to investigate . As you follow the trail of Arc traces, Zev comments that the energy is still fresh and suggests using the trail to track the culprit .
The trail leads to a gruesome scene: several Fallen bodies have been dragged into a pile . Zev notes that a Light signature is present, implying that a Lightbearer—not Fallen—destroyed the barriers . Moments later, a mysterious Lightbearer appears and releases an Arc shock that kills nearby Fallen . When Wolf attempts to question him, the figure vanishes and then reappears as Ning Fei, accompanied by his Ghost, Claudia . Ning Fei admits he destroyed the guerrilla barriers and dragged Fallen corpses to interrogate them about a crashed Fallen Ketch—he needs to reach it to cure the hallucinations caused by his headband .
