While many homes and buildings aren’t able to survive the strong weather conditions, there are some things even hurricanes cannot destroy. From the stand alone house in Texas that survived Hurricane Ike and Sir Richard Branson who had a wine cellar sleepover during Hurricane Irma to some of the most innovative domes and buildings like the Shanghai Tower, these are the 10 things hurricanes cannot destroy!
Let’s start with the Texan house that got more than lucky in 2008. Just three years before that, the same area was hit by Hurricane Rita, which completely destroyed the house of Warren and Pam Adams. The house was later rebuilt, and just three years later, it got hit by Hurricane Ike. Soon after, a viral picture made its way around the Internet, showing the exterior of their house being completely unharmed by the destructive hurricane.
One of the people who were extremely lucky to survive the 2017 Hurricane Irma was Sir Richard Branson, who decided to stay put on his private island as the storm made its way through the Caribbean. Sir Richard and his family hid in their wine cellar and were left completely unharmed by the storm that destroyed their island.
The Shanghai Tower is known as one of the tallest towers in the world. Along with that, the tower boasts an incredible design that reduces the speed of the wind, meaning the tower would be able to survive natural disasters such as hurricanes.
Hurricane Ike, Irma, Harvey, Katrina and many others left a huge impact on the world, but today, we’ll introduce the 10 things hurricanes cannot destroy
