1Now today let's talk about the power of our influencers... our social media influencers. There's no doubt that the world of social media has come a long way from the days of Rediff and Orkut. These platforms started out as a novel way of communicating - but years later nobody can deny that Instagram, YouTube or Facebook go far beyond social messaging. They are marketing platforms in their own right.
Now, research by Advertising Standards Council of India reveals the true power of influencers. It says that 7 out of 10 Indians believe what social media influencers say. They buy the products that these influencers endorse. 90 percent of respondents in the survey say that their purchasing decisions are shaped by these online influencers.
