The game lacks renewable sources for materials yet. The camp is out of concrete now and, expect for potential findings on the world map, there is nothing left. Especially the last meteor shower showed how desperately new concrete is needed. I don't know how to rebuild. I could build tents and completely rely on soy beans (best raw food source). But then, I would just run out of plastic next.

The last resort would be to save all the time and, when a catastrophe is announced other than a heat wave, just reload and retry. Heat wave does nothing when you have two times the water of your population. Pandemic and toxic fallout are very lethal without proper medicine, for which there is no renewable source either, but could be countered by the steady flow of new people to the colony.
