SWE: Red Steel 2 (Wii) 02: Jackals, Part 1
Red Steel 2 is being pretty generous with ammo pickups at this early stage; it's just that I can never keep my six-shooter holstered! This ain't no Resident Evil, son.
The transition from shooting to melee is where the Wii's controls really shine. There's no "draw sword" button — if you squeeze B, you instantly draw and fire your gun, and if you swing the remote, you instantly draw and slash with your sword. There's actually a little more to combat than what I've shown so far; with the default controls, the camera locks on a nearby enemy, tapping Z changes which enemy is targeted, and holding Z unlocks the camera so it just loosely follows the cursor like most Wii shooters.
Later, we'll get to unlocking abilities. Right now, our Hanzo steel has a new friend to meet.
