Synthesis Universe and SubPac: A Sonic Snack for VR Veterans
16With the bloodlines of Surge, Thumper, and Paper Beast resonating beside it, Synthesis Universe is an indie music experience that boasts great tonal depth and refinement in it's visual presentation that we don't often see presented at this level of polish.
Primarily a gaze-led experience, the project does feel a bit dated, but the love imbued by it's creator is felt throughout, here. This nigh theatrical presentation pairs well with a SubPac (or similar tactile transducer laden device), so be ready for a 20-30 minute sonic adventure.
In summary, there is an artisan's attention given here, and the experience is an appetising taster for a world I hope we get to experience some years from now.

Experience these SECRETS from the developer (@OlivierJT_SU):
At the start of the game, enter the infamous "Konami code" with the keyboard arrow keys and the num pad:
UP - UP - Down - Down - L - R - L - R - 1 - 2
You will hear "Enjoy" if successful. It will unlock all rooms, and also special functions using keyboard shortcuts:
[ End ] : Skip to the ending: the trailer part.
[ Insert ] : Skip to the blue crevasse part.
[ T ] : Disable time, so you can walk around!
Extra commands:
[ M ] : Toggle spectator mode ON/OFF - It's a "single eye cropped" feature.
[ PageUp ] : Open the Training room - The big empty place that look like a forest with a mirror lake)
[ PageDown ] : Open the build Room - The one with the console in front of you that triggers the robot building sequence.
Note: For Mixed Reality creators, the game also supports LIV.
The soundtrack is not on sale as of the time of this video, but I really enjoyed that and would like to thank both the game developer and those responsible for the music for creating a frankly lovely audio journey!
This was short and sweet. As a busy lad, I look forward to a time when these kinds of experiences can attract the footfall to generate revenue for more like it and be self-sustaining.
