T-Rex May Have Been Bigger Than We Thought #Shorts
370The T. rex was undeniably one of the largest and most terrifying dinosaurs to have ever roamed the earth. How huge, though, could this vicious dinosaur grow? Researchers recently made an effort to address that query.
The heaviest T. rex, according to paleontologists from the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa, Ontario, may have weighed an incredible 33,000 pounds (15,000 kilograms), which would have made it bigger than the typical school bus, which weighs around 24,000 pounds (11,000 kg). At the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology's (SVP) yearly conference in Toronto on November 5th, the researchers presented their research.
Currently, a specimen known as "Scotty," which weighed 19,555 pounds (8,870 kg) when it was alive, is the heaviest T. rex ever discovered.
