Upon requests from my fellow readers and followers over in my facebook page, here it is: a comprehensive guide on purchasing your first camera if you plan on embarking on a journey photographing your toy or figure collections! With this guide, I answer a few commonly asked questions, list out technical specifications that might be relevant for you, and end it with a list of cameras itself. Since this is a long video, here are the time stamps if you want to jump to certain parts:

7 commonly asked questions:
2:40 "Is a smartphone camera good enough for toy photography?"
5:10 "Gear does not matter / You do not need an expensive camera. True or false?"
6:40 "How much can I expect to spend on a new camera?"
7:46 "What brand should I go for? I'm afraid I might buy the wrong one."
9:00 "Do I need to buy additional lenses or the kit lens is enough?"
10:02 "How many megapixels do I need?"
11:01 "Should I buy a DSLR or a Mirrorless camera?"
14:00 Technical specs in a camera that is important for toy photography
21:45 Specs and features that you do NOT need
25:46 A list of new camera recommendations
33:42 A list of used camera recommendations

This guideline is only about purchasing a camera (with or without the bundled kit lens). I will make another video in the near future on a list of lenses to consider if you want to buy additional lenses. =)
