Tales from the past: F4 Volume I Epic collection (F4: #1-18. 1961-1963) quick summary and review
In this video we take a look at the following Tales from the past. This volume, collection collects the first stories of F4 from 1961-1963 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. I made a little error. they are from the Silver Age not Bronze Age. my apologies in advance.
I truly loved the simplicity of the artwork and the quality of the story writing.
The only weak point in this almost close to perfect collection is Namor the Submariner and the fact that he had an almost obsession with Sue. Maybe it is because I have seen it before. idk. But sometimes it just felt like overkill and it distracted me from the overall close to perfect collection of stories. If this comes over like I am bashing Stan Lee or Jack Kirby. believe me that this was not my intention. it's just constructive feedback. And I learned a lot from this volume.
Still. I enjoyed this read. The 8/10 blueberries are well deserved.
And if you want to see what I and my hardworking friend are about to create.
Jaguar Warrior issue 1: Death of the Family is over 50% done and will be released on www.thejaguarwarrior.com, Gumroad, Globalcomix, pixiv and a few other platforms. Crowdfunding is still too soon, but I will try to run one next year.
