The Tolkien Society is acting more like a cult than an actual fan club on his 130th birthday. Outch
To honour the 130th birthday of Sir J.R.R. Tolkien the Tolkien "Society" decided to go after someone on Twatter for making an NFT. If they have such a problem with NFT's there must be someone in that society that is smart enough to create one for them. Or is that too much or too complicated to ask? All it takes is one mail or private message.
Instead they decided to claim something that doesn't belong to them.
This is not the behaviour of an international society or fan club.
This is cultish behaviour. And unfortunately not the first time this "cult" went off the leash. And it's one of the reasons why I don't associate myself with these so called "societies".
If you want to see someone creating something from the heart that doesn't try to preach to you or claim something that doesn't belong to him.
