While the boss's 180,000 HP total is a surprising HP jump, there is no defense scaling so its 205 defense makes his HP fodder for big numbers.This may look like a joke, but it was fun to figure out. The Kraken is weak to Slash and Light, but resists all other magic. This makes Serpent Edge largely useless, and since the monster can't be launched, Bloody Rose is out of the picture as well. Its penetrate can recover fast, even in the interval between Slash Rain - Snipe Air, so I decided on a spell approach.

Due to the Light weakness, Philia is ideal for this. Of course, her survivavibility is that of a paper bag, but Rutee's mobility takes care of that problem. Snipe Air and Snipe Lower are the only artes that do not keep the Water element when a narikiri doll is used, instead adopting the Light element. I chose Maelstrom for this because of the delay at the beginning of the spell's animation and the relatively short cast time. As the whirlpool forms, I have enough time for a Slash Rain to remove the Kraken's penetrate and a Snipe Air -Snipe Lower combo to get a weakness in, letting Maelstrom wrack up damage too. Embrace End with a weakness multiplier takes out more than half of it HP, so it's short work.
