Veigue is... well boring =0\. I don't particularly find enjoyment in beating him with a mage(or "reverse" mage in this case). He can hit hard enough to be a threat, but I don't make it easy for him to get close to me. He only has two weaknesses, Killer and Burn(which are easy to hit if you have a gem for it), giving me CC with every arte he gets restaggered(Petal Burst has the potential to recover CC 2~4 times at the expense of stopping power), so playing "keep away" is simple in general, especially if he's trying to use Zehyoujin(Right there!), Zesshouzan(Slash!), or Muiezhou(Charge!), since he has to get inside intermediate cryas arte range to attack me. I don't utilize this too much though; my only plan was to stay away using A-artes. The magic was used instinctively.
Poisson is a different story. She's pretty much a light Veigue, with no long-range abilities in her first/second phase. This allows me to keep her pushed back with properly-timed low-level cryas/phys artes mix-up, or bring her in with intermediate ones(I settle for the former) since she will just run into them. In her second phase, her hammer gets bigger, making it easier to dodge her Hammer Smash and Spinning Hammer artes, and she gets a long-range lunge attack. Like Pascal after Fever Dream, this long-range arte leaves her open afterwards, and once I spot her running away from me, I know I can use a timed Cyandine to launch her into the air toward me, then OTG her with Fearful Storm, continuing to her intermediate spell loop ending in Fever Dream.
Now her third and fourth phases are a pain )=01. The Pow Hammers...and she has a hefty dose of Iron Stance to protect her, and refreshes quickly, so its hard even to get her staggered. I would think that it'd been best to keep a distance, I really don't want to be moving around the battlefield when she uses Hammer Rain, so I stay close to her. Didn't like the tail end of the battle, but I'll take it =02.
