Also known as Rockman in Japan, Mega Man is one the most well known platforming games of the NES library. The gameplay in Mega Man is unique in that when Mega Man defeats a boss robot, he gains their weapon to use against other boss robots and this creates a Rock Paper Scissor effect between the bosses. The main plot involves Dr. Wily transforming robots into evil robot masters and Dr. Light transforming a helper robot, Rock, into Mega Man a fighting robot to stop Dr. Wily.

Theater 8 is recorded in OBS Studio using either the Elgato HD or the Elgato HD Pro. The silhouettes are recorded using a Logitech 920c web camera. All games are captured from the original game console with the exception of NES games captured with the AVS game system made by RetroUSB. (Well not this Megaman gameplay) Audio was recorded with a Blue Snowball microphone. All recordings were not held in front of a live studio audience.

#SPOILERS BELOW - Mega Man Gameplay Notes#
Let's play Mega Man! Keith begins the episode by challenging Fireman. Keith shows how to defeat Fireman by staying close or at least that is his plan. After defeating fireman, he moves on to Bombman's stage. Keith shows a few tricks for dealing with tricky enemies on Bombman's stage and then proceeds to destroy bombman. He shows how to beat bombman by keeping distance and continuously moving. Using Fireman's attack, he makes quick work of Bombman.
Working through Wily Stage 1, Keith shows different techniques for facing different enemies and does well up until the floating platforms where he predictably ends up dying a few times. Once he gets to the yellow devil, he takes damage early on but then focuses and pulls through. How to beat yellow devil ends up being mostly memorizing the pattern to jump and using the electric beam.
