Clever little action/reaction game in which you are a bartender (and look like the Marvin Glass employee Mike Ferris from DOMINO MAN, TIMBER and perhaps others) and must provide beer for thirsty patrons at various venues. As cool and inventive as the game is, the cabinet may be even cooler! It comes with ashtrays, beer holders and a foot rail, as well as taps for controls! Anyway, you use the joystick to move your bartender up or down to the various bar tables you must tend to (and you can "warp" from the bottom to the top") and you can run down the bar to collect any tips or empty pitchers the patrons leave. Failure to collect a returned empty pitcher will cost you a life as it shatters on the ground, as will tossing a full pitcher to a patron that isn't there or is distracted by entertainment give when you collect a tip (cheerleaders, dancers, etc. performing). Note that when you collect the tip and the entertainment occurs, not all patrons will be watching, so you must give a beer to the ones that are uninterested in the entertainment and don't serve beer to those that are watching. The entertainment doesn't last long. The game gets frustrating when the levels just don't seem to end! The patrons just keep coming and coming! Well, there will eventually be a lull at some point, just keep on serving and catching empty pitchers. Settings include a cowboy bar, a sports stadium, a punk-like bar, a bar in outer space where you serve aliens (!), and another cowboy-like bar. The original game has advertisements for Budweiser! Other versions have ads for the Japanese beer company Suntory and one is called ROOT BEER TAPPER, which I guess was created for kids to discourage them from early drinking. Tapper is the coolest for that cabinet alone! Sorry about the microphone but the headset is just so unreliable and breaks too easy; I will probably get another headset sometime soon but man, they are poorly designed.
