Tarkov’s Best Ammo Unlocks - Trader Progression in Patch 12.12
3,211Today we look at what ammo you get as you level up in Tarkov! WIth most of the good ammunition removed from the flea market in 12.12, players are now reliant upon the traders and to a lesser extent the hideout to source their rounds.
** Things I missed out: **
5.45 BT requires punisher 4
Mechanic 4 has ACP RIP
M62 7.62 NATO requires Spa Tour 6
Skier 4 M855A1 now 526 rubles (still great)
This video should give you a good idea of what to expect as you progress, and what to aim for at different levels of trader. At level 1, we don’t have a great deal of choice, and the hardest slog in EFT is the journey from 1 to 15 when you get the flea market.
After this, useful ammo unlocks fairly steadily until level 38 with Skier 4 and although there are a few rounds after this they are not widely used. A critical milestone is Peacekeeper 3 at level 23, where he will sell a vastly improved array of bullets, which without makes it difficult to use certain weapons at all like the P90 and the MP7.
