Bay Route is a sidescrolling run 'n' gun game that is very similar to Contra (https://tasvideos.org/1783M). It was developed by Sega and Sunsoft and released to arcades in 1989. You control a commando named Tom as he runs across enemy territory to find and rescue some hostages.

The author, NitroGenesis (https://tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/NitroGenesis), controls Tom as well as a second soldier to tear through more enemies in less time on his way to rescue the hostages.
