-Timing starts from gaining control of the marble (when the "Time to finish practice race" text box disappears) (0:07) and ends the frame that the goal tape goes blue after crossing the finish line on the last level. (1:45)
-I wanted to see if, with the Arcade version, I could make a TAS as fast as the Genesis TAS on YouTube: https://youtu.be/RfZ3X0Sk46M
-With Speedrun.com rules this TAS finishes the game in 2:00
-Why is the Genesis much slower than the arcade one? Because on the Genesis the delay between levels is much longer. We cannot therefore compare the two TAS with these times.
-So I measured the time the ball rolls. Measured with a stopwatch, it's not very accurate but close enough for me.
-Genesis 1:17
-Arcade 1:13
-Levels 1-2-3 the two TAS are almost identical.
-I couldn't do all the tricks like on the Genesis on level 4. So the Arcade TAS is about 2 seconds slower on this level.
-Level 5 the Arcade TAS is a bit faster.
-Level 6 even with a missing jump at the start, the Arcade TAS finish about 4 seconds faster. The Genesis TAS must wait at the end, missing a cycle.
