I had a TAS mostly finished where I pressed all four switches but then I realised you could just do this :) There were a couple of small puzzles to work out. When you do an instant glide like this, it puts you into an instant .000000 position which means that my west momentum was maintained. Because I need to then move east towards the exit, I need to move in such a way that this residual west momentum is killed, because if it remains you can't gather east speed quickly enough to get to the step in time.
In addition to that, I need enough backwards (south) momentum that I can get out of the gap on the frame after I press the switch, because if I get out of the gap any later than that I don't have enough time to get to the step. So I needed to run further into the gap than I'd like before getting out of it, and also press the switch later than I'd like.

Unfortunately because of how the .000000 trick works it's impossible to gather eastern momentum towards the exit while still in the gap. Also I did try crashing into the switch before backing up to see if it's faster than just starting to run backwards, but it's significantly slower.
