As opposed to the first race that you can choose in the "Story Mode" of the game, here's one of the last races you do before unlocking Mirror Mode. 20 racers instead of 12, alongside speeds upwards of 500 miles per hour. Despite the high speeds, it's a very long track, which is why it took almost 7 minutes to complete two laps of it. This also shows how Rubber-Banded the AI is, as there was an instance where the 2nd place driver closed the gap between him and me by 10 seconds, despite the fact that I was in Stage 4 of boost mode.

There are parts of this that can be done better on a real Wii (Or using a real Wii Remote) because of the fact that the emulated "shaking" of the Wii Remote can only go in certain directions. There's X, Y, and Z, but the main problem is with X; it shakes to the right almost all of the time, which means you can only perform right-shunts most of the time. Using a real Wii Remote allows you to shunt in both directions, therefore allowing more options for hitting opponents and getting to the other side of the track, which is what the shunt was mainly used for.
