The Shindou version of Super Mario 64 was released over a year after the global release of the game as a means of showcasing the support for the brand new rumble pack for the Nintendo 64.
This version has a few minor changes from the original Japanese and American versions but perhaps most importantly was the fix that Nintendo added to the Backwards Long Jump glitch.
This glitch was infamous for allowing the player to beat the game without having to collect even a single star.
For a long time it was thought be impossible to complete this version of the game with less than the intended minimum amount of 70 stars due to the inability to perform the Backwards Long Jump.
Over the years however, new strategies have been discovered that allowed us to bypass certain sections without the intended amount of stars and without the use of the Backwards Long Jump.
This TAS aims to beat this version of the game as quickly as possible.

This is a tool-assisted speedrun, created using slowdown, savestates, memory-watch and various other tools in order to make a sequence of inputs which completes the game as fast as possible with all known techniques. It is *not* a real-time speedrun performed by a human in one shot, and so for obvious reasons will not be counted on any speedrunning leaderboards.
