This was played on an original DS console, but then the ghost was transfered to an emulator for recording purposes, allowing me to record in HD quality, and using custom audio for copyright purposes.

This is going to be a long description, since this WR is one of the achievements I've been looking for a while:

I have been trying to get sub 44.5 on this track since 2017, when I started doing ROB-BLS attempts on this track. The closest I got was in 2018, when I got a 44.515, getting so close to my final goal. After that, I've played this track from time to time, sometimes getting close, and sometimes not even being able to complete any run. After almost 2 years and a half since I got my 44.515, I have been finally able to get a 44.454!

And why is this goal so important to me? The first reason is that this track has one of the hardest strats in the whole game to pull off, and it's very satisfactory to have a good time with it. For the second reason, I need to explain what "God standards" are:

Mario Kart Players' Page is the biggest Mario Kart community, combining every single Mario Kart game, where players post their times, and have their own leaderboards. Talking about MKDS specifically, almost every player is there, you can watch all the times a player has.
The community itself created some "standards" years ago, as shown on this link https://www.mariokart64.com/mkds/standardsp.php
These standards tries to measure how good a time is on a certain track, God being the highest standard you can get, then Myth, Titan, Hero, etc. After some years, the discovery of new strats and people getting better at the game have made easier to get better standards on some tracks that others, however, after all these years, there were still 2 GOD standards that nobody had ever achieved and are considered so hard to get, these are:
- Choco Island 2 sub 44.500
- Yoshi Falls (fast lap) sub 15.000
By achieving this time, I'm only one God standard away to get God standards in every single track. Sub 15.000 is super hard to achieve, I currently have 15.034 there but it's hard to cut down on such a short lap. I don't think I'll go for it for now, since it would require such a big grinding I'm not really prepare, but one day, I'll probably go for it.

As for my future in MKDS.. I don't know how it'll be. I won't be very active since it's really time consuming and I'm more motivated to do other stuff, but I'll probably come back from time to time to play the game for a bit. I'm glad to see that the community is growing lately and there are a lot of people that are getting really good at the game.
