[TAS] USCF Chess (Intellivision) "move glitch" in 0:17.172
TAS notes: https://tasvideos.org/7968S
RTA time: 0:17.96
Please read the TAS notes for the full story as what actually happens here is a bit confusing. Basically, by exploiting a programming oversight while the computer is taking its turn, we can sabotage the whole process and force the computer to make whatever move we want! You might think this run is super trivial since we can do basically the same thing in "Player vs Player" mode. However, I would argue this is anything BUT trivial as heavy glitching was required to achieve this in "Player vs Computer" mode while also maintaining player-color continuity with each move (that is, the colors of the "P" and the "C" in the upper-left remain constant). In the end, we deliver the quickest checkmate in chess, the Fool's Mate, as black.
