I congratulate Rakurai and YU-TOHARU for bringing Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax to the PC (using the Mugen 1.0 engine) even before its English localization was complete, and ahead of schedule to boot. The PS3 game is sadly overpriced by US$39.99 (and the Vita version by a strengthening US$29.99 that gets more expensive over time) but the characters are downloadable at the Mugen Archive (although instead of paying you have to wait in the queue until there is a slot). Methinks DBFC will have two Steam releases - a freeware one that only has Arcade, Versus, Practice and Survival modes but has 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 Simul available and a premium version that has the Story modes, Sound test and the gallery added but only has the classic 1v1 mode.

I was stuck with this loadout: Speed Up, Missile, Double, Laser, Option, Shield, Tatsuya as assist, Mildred as Arcana - the basic Type A weapon setup). If only I had Spread Bombs available and a Kino assist, then I would have been deadlier in combat.
