Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (NES via Cowabunga Collection) playthrough
Again, I did use some of the 'cheats' in the emulator that the Cowabunga Collection allows. Not God Mode, as I didn't want the enemies to die in one hit. But extra lives so that I wouldn't burn through all of my continues. Though, as you watch in this, I do get significantly better. I don't know if I could manage the entire game legit again right now, as I used to as a kid, but a few more attempts and I might be able to pull it off again. Though I'm moving on to the next game now.
I love this game. It is one of my all time favorite NES games, hands down. The fact that they managed to make this arcade game, developed late in the NES' life cycle and with such spectacular graphics and sound in the arcade, and bring it to the NES - even if it is a downgrade - is mind blowing. It plays beautifully. The graphics still look great, for the hardware at least. The music's on point. Is it AS good as playing the arcade game? Of course not. But for when this game out (several years before the SNES, despite my thinking this was in the early 90's and not late 80's), this was revolutionary. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
