Where's the Wolfenstein? That's my big question in this game. Sure, you're a guy fighting against Nazis with a hint of supernatural. That's not unique. The fact that Nazis were supposedly going for mystic stuff is hardly a new concept. You can even look at comic book examples like Hellboy. So what ties this to the original games? What makes this game set in the same world? So far, about the only thing I see is the collectable treasure now and then.

Which makes this game just appear to be a generic early 2000's WW2 shooter. With a really, really bad stealth section. Ug, it was awful. Enemies that wouldn't die fast enough, so hitting them a few times still gives them a chance to run and hit the alarm. Which instantly game overs you. With a fade out you're forced to watch. On top of that, what causes them to get alerted feels practically random. Sometimes they won't see/hear me, but sometimes I do the same thing and the alarm goes off. Argh.

Even the tank escort mission wasn't particularly well done as the trigger to get the damn tank to move took a while to find. They're trying, but this is not up to Call of Duty's level. Mind you, that game DID come out two years after this, but it still shows a point of why Call of Duty was so highly regarded in that they managed to do what other games tried but do it correctly. This game is an example of not doing it correctly. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
