Tek Recon came out when my channel had barely existed, but I had followed it for some time; mostly because the Havok blaster just looked so freakin' cool. Competing with the NERF Ecosystem rarely has gone well for any company, and trying to use something other than your standard .50 cal foam dart is basically a surefire way to lose... even if your blasters and ammo are better. Tek Recon tried their hands with the, "NRG" rounds: small rubber band rings that were fired either by pumping the blaster or pulling the obnoxiously long trigger. Is there any reason for these now? Well, maybe a few...
