Generations ago, the only version a game you bought was the definitive edition. The entire game was on the disc when you bought it and no other purchases were required.

You can somewhat do that still - you just need to buy the definitive editions. It takes a few years to see them come out, but it's really worth it. Not only is it less expensive, less buggy, but it also has much more content.

The Avengers video game is being delisted and with it, their practically giving away the game. On top of that they made the game playable offline for the first game. Honestly, this is the Avengers game everyone probably wanted from the start.
