Tempest Rising combines classic RTS mechanics with modern graphics, telling a dark future story of power, resources and rivalry between factions such as the GDF, the Tempest Dynasty and more. Experienced players will notice that GDF is very similar to GDI from Command & Conquer, Dynasty is similar to the NOD faction, and Tempest is similar to Tiberium. There are many other similarities, for example many of the buildings or the music (again partly composed by Frank Klepacki).
