I never played Tennis World Tour, but the dev was nice enough to send over a key for Tennis World Tour 2. Graphically the game looks good, the sounds are pretty authentic, with some excellent grunting if that's your thing.

Having only played for just over an hour, I have to say there was more I disliked than enjoyed about the game. The game seems to want to force your player into animations even if you don't press a button. This combined with the timing elements of shots means it's impossible to get into a rhythm. As an example, if you tap the button you do a weaker more accurate shot, if you hold down the button you do a more powerful shot. The key to this is timing. However, because the animation of your swing can begin before you press a button it often makes you react. Forcing you to press the button before you expected or release later than you wanted. I have no doubt with some practice you could overcome this issue.

Playing as a created player with low stats means you either hit the ball out or hit the net unless you get the timing right, whereas the better players can compensate for the bad timing with there stats. This makes the career mode a real chore until you have played much more to learn the timing. Hard work will most likely pay off here.

Lastly, the game features a card mechanic, it seems to be bolted in to offer a way to make money. Giving stat boost or weakening opposition. Because it's so strange I cannot help feeling this has been added as a cash grab. Additionally, the devs sent me a key for a legends pack and official tournaments and stadiums which stings a bit if you were required to buy these to get the realism that should be in the base game
