Tenshu General || Extremely Basic RTS War Game
http://store.steampowered.com/app/363180
+ The strategic elements are good in certain aspects, like Archers do better in mountain terrain
+ Pretty fast paced, you have to go fast to keep up with the computer and make intelligent decisions about when to attack and where.
- Overly simplistic making the game feel boring after a short amount of time.
[Build unit, capture territories, up rice production, build more units, win]
- No animations or any visual display of what is happening.
- Automated battles that do not really tell you who has the advantage.
- You can not cancel or redirect units if you accidentally send them to the wrong place
- No option to stop the time, and time keeps going even while viewing action reports
- The campaign is more or less a tutorial and series of "challenges" that get boring quickly
- The story is pretty poor, and the game does a pretty low-end job of keeping the story interesting or relevent to what is happening.
- Castle Defenses are TOO STRONG and the AI continuously rebuilds them each time you try to attack. There's no siege weapons either, so you basically need full max armies attacking at the same time to win the game which can drag the match out for quite a while.
