So... I've been meaning to replace my Dazzle DVC 100 recently, since that card isn't compatible with my new computer. I bought a cheap Happauge HD PVR off ebay and originally planned to use that as my retro capture card. The problem with that is the HD PVR unfortunately cannot recognize a video signal below a 480p resolution. This effectively renders the PVR useless for recording footage off of anything that predates the 6th gen. So, I went with a slightly more expensive alternative - the Tensun AV to HDMI video converter. With this I can simply record all of my footage with my Elgato HD60, meaning that I officially am only using one capture card again! The converter unfortunately does degrade the video signal quite a bit, and then Youtube also slightly downscales the video quality through processing. But, despite that, I'm still happy with the results here. I might invest in a more expensive converter in the future (e.g. RetroTink mini or 2x), but this will more than do for now. All gameplay in this video was recorded on original hardware, and the consoles were all hooked up through S-Video, excluding the NES which can only do composite. All footage was recorded with my Elgato HD60.
