Terra Nil: Playthrough | Flooded City | No Commentary
3The barren wastes of a flooded city greet us in the fourth level of terra nil. We have to navigate through a maze of skyscrapers as we restore this landscape.
Power comes from tidal turbines this time, which have to be placed in deep water, we will then have to connect this to a larger network using pylons, then dredge up soil to begin terraforming the land.
Once purified, we can start working on our biomes in this continental region, but we're faced with a new problem…our dredging has caused earthquakes which cause radioactive waste to explode, threatening to undo all of our work.
After deploying radiation cleansers and restoring a little bit of balance to the climate, we can resume restoration, bringing bamboo forests, lagoons and sunflower fields to the once bustling city, new growth shoots through the streets in the form of deciduous forests. Wild boar roam the former shops and apartments and pandas eat bamboo from forests supported by the steel girders of former skyscrapers. Somewhere overhead, an eagle hunts it's next meal whilst otters play in a lagoon.
We have one task left, scan every other level for seeds from each biome, recycle everything left here and construct a rocket ship, leaving with a snapshot of earth restored, and no evidence of our being there at all.

Each region of Terra Nil progresses through phases, with the ultimate goal being leaving pristine wilderness behind. Levels are not about infinite growth, but rather balancing and nurturing the environment before leaving it in peace.
Lush hand-painted environments, relaxing music, and an atmospheric ambient soundscape make Terra Nil a peaceful, meditative experience. When you're done, use Appreciate mode to bask in the natural beauty of the ecosystem you have restored.
