The brain will disappear if you're not in the crimson biome. So the solution is to make your own bit of crimson. You do this by building an arena in the sky using crimtane blocks. Note the top of the cage has a thicker layer of crimtane to increase the number of crimson biome blocks. The bottom of the arena is lined with dirt that is converted to crimson grass. This adds to the number of blocks as well as gives you a nice little area where vicious mushrooms can grow. The arena is entirley enclosed and has a door. If you build this arena in a safer biome the enclosed nature keeps the spawns of crimson enemies inside the closed arena so they cant be an annoyance when you're just passing on your way somewhere else.
