First off, sorry about the sound.

Technically, this is probably stage 3 or something, but I didn't think of recording my progress like that. I should also have recorded a before-construction or during-construction video.

So! Before I started, this area was basically a valley, with one mountain (on the left) much larger than the one on the right. I flattened out the one on the left a bit and dug down much, much deeper. I think I used about 80 dynamite (without cheating or item duplication or anything like that). That was stage 1.

Once I had a nice, deep chasm, I lined the walls with about 800 blocks of stone, to give it that nice rocky look, then I started filling it with lava, using the infinite liquid trick.

Next, I'll see if I can actually construct the bridge, once I think of a design.
