Testing the Nvidia 390.77 Driver on openSUSE Leap 15
Let's check out how my Nvidia GTX 760 does with the latest stable drivers from Nvidia on openSUSE Leap 15!
OpenSUSE Leap 15 is my workstation Linux distribution - there's probably nothing super special about it in terms of gaming, and you'll see comparable performance on Ubuntu, Fedora, Steamos, and basically anywhere Steam and Wine can run.
My Nvidia GTX 760 is a step up from the popular GTX 750ti and you'd see about the same performance if you were running a 750ti.
Lastly - Wine is not virtualization and isn't anything like VMWare. Wine typically offers pretty good performance but setting it up and configuring it can be a massive headache. Wrappers such as Lutris and PlayOnLinux work OK (sometimes) but there's a professional-grade Wine wrapper called CrossOver. That's what I used to run Skyrim for this video.
