Tetris on Pacman hardware (Arcade hack)
Since I've only seen one other gameplay video of this, and searching it up doesn't give me anything else about that one specific hack, I decided to make a video of it myself.
I was looking through HBMAME the other day, and... I found a hack of Pac-Man that turns it into a Tetris game. As it's incomplete, there's no scoring, no levels, no DAS... you pretty much just play Tetris. Even though there are 2 playfields, you can't play a 2-player game. Only counterclockwise rotation is possible by pressing up, and the rotation system is something a bit SRS-y. The game is also accompanied by a very nice version of the Tetris Type-C music from the Game Boy version. I play this for a bit, then at the end I show you what happens when you top out. The hack was made by Ben Leperchey, but I don't think I can find any other information on this great thing. It would be interesting to see this run on an actual arcade machine.
Fun fact: This video was posted one day after the 43rd birthday of Pac-Man. On May 22, 1980, the original "Puckman" game was shown to the public. I wonder how Pac-Man would play Tetris?
