TwinBee (Bubble System version)
0Okay, since I'm too satisfied with shooting up stuff in games like this, I'm too urged to make gameplay videos of my favorite shoot 'em up games. At least I played a few Tetris games today (since today is World Tetris Day) to break my shoot 'em up blahs.
TwinBee is an arcade game created by Konami for their Bubble System hardware, and the first one. It's like Xevious, but you can shoot bells to change their color and get power-ups. In 2 player, you can combine your ships to make a very powerful attack. Pretty nice, don't you think?
This game plays to stage 3, though if I remember correctly, I was able to reach the fifth stage. After the fifth stage, the game proceeds to the sixth stage, where you fight the enemies in their order again. The game truly "loops" after stage 10, where "stage 11" is stage 1 again, and the game is much unforgiving that time. In the end, my score was 242,900 points.
