TGG October Spooktacular 2023 for 10/03: CBS Radio Mystery Theater - The Hand
14On tonight's edition of the Spooktacular, Jeff shares a classic tale of the macabre with the CBS Radio Mystery Theater episode The Hand. Sir John Rowell is a hunter who finds himself in possession of a mysterious package whose contents are hell bend on his destruction. This is the first episode of CBSRMT here on the Spooktacular which was not written specifically for the show and is actually adapted from a previously published short story. In this case, The Hand by French author Guy de Maupassant which saw print in 1883. Maupassant was quite a prolific writer and considered to be a master of the short story, seeing he published around 300 of them.
Once again we're going to enjoy an original broadcast which includes commercial breaks and kicks off with about 6 minutes of news from the day.
