Hello and Welcome to The After Thought, the show where I discuss my initial thoughts on the game and then my thoughts on completion of the game. Basically First Impressions and a Review all in one.

Explaining why my opinion changed if it did on an aspect of the game (if it did) and why I maintained the same opinion if I did.

Today I give my thoughts on: March Of War: Face Off

Developed and Published by ISOTX

Available on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/323900/

Free to play.

March Of War: Face Off is a Collectable Card Game with Strategy elements, unlike most card games this game put a lot of focus on movement with cards being played on 3 by 7 grid.

The game requires player to attempt to defeat the opponent by reduces their life from 20 to 0. To do this you must move characters into the damage zones which increase as you get further across the board. The game does a great job of integrating card mechanics that take advantage of this aspect of the game with each card having a different movement cost, movement per turn and attack direction for a diverse card pool.

While it isn't graphical impressive as well as me personally being a big fan of the aesthetic of the game, I found that I could move past it as the gameplay is engaging, fun and fair.

I found the animations to be a strong point of this game with them looking genuine and interesting to watch.

Music seems to consist of 3 tracks played on repeat with a 10 minute silence before repeating the loop, however this could be a bug or a personal problem I had so keep that in mind.

As a final point I want to mention that the game is free to play not pay to win. The game uses the same system as Hearthstone. Awarding playing for completing daily objectives and levelling! Unlike Hearthstone however it also has a recommendation system awarding you and the recommended player currency just for joining the game and reaching level 10 (Not payment from you or the recommended player required!).

In conclusion March of War: Face Off has an interesting basis for a card game which incorporates movement as a cornerstone of it's game design with a few kinks in needs to sort out, which is expected due to it's Early Access state! Heavily Recommended for experts and new comers of Card games a like!
