The aftermath of “heatflation” continues. 🔥

Scorching temperatures harm crops, thereby increasing the prices of olive oil products. This greatly impacted the world’s largest producer in Spain.

Over the past year, Spanish olive oil production fell from 1.3 million metric tons to 610,000 metric tons. Now, olive oil costs twice as much as a year ago.

To tackle this, vertical farming is being explored to allow for efficient growing of crops all year round even in an indoor atmosphere.
