According to IEA (‪@IeaOrg‬), global #energy-related CO2 emissions grew in 2022 by .9%, or 321 million tons in 2022. New startups have developed a groundbreaking method to trap CO2 from the air using concrete - cutting emissions by 5%.

Heirloom, based out of San Francisco, uses a process to heat crushed limestone and release naturally absorbed CO2. This innovation could tackle #climatechange effects associated with current rapid #urbanization trends.
