As a huge fan of The PC Engine and TurboGrafx 16 platforms, I was extremely excited and shocked to see that Analogue would be releasing an FPGA mini console that played the games of literally every version of NEC's consoles. I preordered and was really looking forward to trying it for myself. I ended up cancelling a preorder though because I needed that money and I also already own the original hardware.

It was a tough choice and one that a lot of fans have had to ponder.

....but just how good is The Analogue Duo?

Does it stack up against the other amazing FPGA consoles that the company has released? Does it fall short in any areas? What can you expect from this thing?
