The Arrow of Doom.
14Bronn stood on the shore, the bow in his hand still smoking from the arrow he had just fired. He watched in amazement as the arrow hit its target, causing an explosion that was almost as large as a nuclear bomb.
He could feel the shockwaves rippling through the air, and he could hear the screams of the men on the enemy ships as they were engulfed in flames. He knew that he had just changed the course of the battle, and that he had saved countless lives.
But as he looked out at the destruction, he also felt a pang of guilt and regret. He had always been a man of war, a man who lived by the sword. But this was different. This was not the honorable combat that he was used to, this was mass destruction on a scale that he had never experienced before.
He dropped the bow, and he fell to his knees. He closed his eyes, and he tried to block out the sounds of the battle. He tried to find some peace, some solace in the midst of the chaos.
He did not know how long he stayed like that, lost in his own thoughts. But eventually, he felt a hand on his shoulder, and he looked up to see one of his men standing over him.
"Bronn, we have won," the man said, his voice filled with awe and respect. "You are a hero, a true hero of the realm."
Bronn looked up at the man, and he shook his head. "No, I am not a hero," he said, his voice filled with pain and sorrow. "I am a monster, a monster who has unleashed hell upon this world."
The man looked at Bronn, and he saw the pain and the guilt in his eyes. He nodded, and he put his arm around Bronn's shoulder.
"Come, my friend," he said, helping Bronn to his feet. "Let us go and celebrate our victory, and let us hope that we can find some peace in the aftermath of this terrible war."
Bronn nodded, and he let the man lead him away from the shore and into the heart of the city. He knew that he would never forget this day, this day when he had become the monster that he had always feared.
