There's a bit of drama over who the real creator of Barbie is. In 1994 Ruth Handler published an autobiography titled Dream doll where she claimed credit for naming the Barbie doll after her own daughter. However the role of Jack Ryan the brilliant former Raytheon missile designer and Mattel's vice president of design was largely ignored. @jasminepaigemoore explains more.
