The best case argument for fishing in GW2: Daily thoughts 5 #shorts #Gw2 #guildwars2 #EndofDragons
Hey all, it’s bronze, and today I’m thinking about fishing. We’ve been told that fishing will not be like other material gathering, as it will have a small mini game attached. Additionally, there is a fishing mastery line that will unlock more variety as you progress. This part didn’t sit well with people, as the last mastery of this type we had was the Icebrood saga masteries, and those were… not well received by the community. Many fishing enjoyers want that old style questing and leveling up experience, and so far it looks like they’re not getting it. Anet have already implemented a very fun quest like leveling experience for cooking, and it was a massive success. With cooking, you travel the world, learn from master chefs of each major race, and when you’re done you get to cook ascended food and you get a chef station in your home instance. It’s insanely fun and rewarding, and something like this should be a part of learning fishing. You could get mastery points through the achievements, instead of spending generic End of Dragons mastery points; or the quest could unlock the mastery lines, as you explore and learn about different types of fishing in different places. They could even leave room for a fishing grandmaster mastery down the road. However they do it, we should have some way outside of the normal mastery system to train fishing. I will not be happy if the best way to train fishing is to find a mastery point on top of a tree and then kill things until I have enough exp to use it.
