A number of my subscribers have asked me about which sort of track is the best and how do I maintain my OO/HO scale test track. So as to answer your questions on this matter. I think its time to do a mini video on this topic. When I first started out in the model railway hobby, the only type of track that was availible was the steel type track, but the downside is that if the layout was set in a damp/humid room. The steel track is more prone to rust. The new ype of track that has replaced the steel track is the nickel silver track which has a slight brass colouring to it and its much easier to clean and maintain than the older silver track was/is. Nickel silver was introduced by Hornby and Peco in around 1995/1996.
