!!OPTIONAL TWEAKS BELOW!!

DirectX 10 will probably not work out of the box. Both DirectX 9 and OpenGL can run the game at a fixed 60FPS. If you absolutely want to run through DirectX 10 install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 to the game's Proton instance via Steam Tinker Launch:

To unlock fps in DirectX 10:

- start the game
- start a mission/Load a save
- hit "t" on the (steam)keyboard
- remove "say:"
- type: preferences and hit return
- go into the "rendering" tab
- go to DirectX 10
- set Vsync to: False
- set fps to: 0
- restart the game
