Late as hell to the party with this game but I'm finally playing this. I think it's possible to get over the quicksand river by slide hopping off the tree and carrying your momentum with bunny hops but I tried that a lot and it seems really hard. I was not ready for that patch of quicksand to be fake, no idea how that happened.
