Don't worry, the channel isn't closing down! So for a while I've been considering doing my live streaming on Twitch. Not just because YouTube live streaming is a bit buggy, but because Twitch is more popular and has a lot more options and functionality for live streaming.

Also what YouTube has done for small channels under 1000 subscribers recently in preventing their ability to gain income, and my hopes of one day being able to run a channel as a part time or full time career this has got me thinking.

Twitch allows you to gain income from day 1 as long as you have everything set up and I've already received donations from some of my YouTube followers (thanks Gabew) and I haven't even started yet! I think this is the right decision.
